Dear Jelly Beans,
I can't believe it's already February. This is a HUGE month for me. The countdown to Norway begins... 20 DAYS!!!
Wednesday, February 1, 2017- Nashville
Last time we began discussing what steps must be taken to prepare for a tour overseas. We talked about hiring back-up, and we briefly touched on wardrobe tips. Today we're going to continue on the same topic, and begin with...
If you don't understand the term "merch", it is simply an abbreviation for "merchandise", which according to Webster, are any goods intended to be bought or sold. In the music world, we use merch for many reasons. Some artists order them to advertise a new single or a new album. Items like CDs, posters, t-shirts, koozies, stickers, and magnets can be great sources of visual advertising. In order to make sure people follow the logo and are eventually lead to the website (store), make sure to add the link somewhere on the artwork. Here's an example:
Here is the front of my custom "Break Me" tee. The line "watch me shake it all of" is a phrase from my single that stood out to me and makes me smile every time I sing it :)
Here is the back of my custom tee. As you can see, I have 2 logos advertising my single ("Break Me"), and my website is plugged in at the bottom in bold.
These lovely tees will be traveling across the world with me to Norway this month. Here are some other items I will be taking:
Autographed Tour Poster
Small "Break Me" Cover Poster
Custom "Where I'm From" Koozie
"Where I'm From" CD
To order any of the items above, please follow this link to the store: https://angelicarobinson.com/store
Thanks for listening! See you next week!!
