Hello loves!
I've been away for quite some time now, but I'm finally back and ready to share some big news with y'all...
This week, I followed my heart and left my part-time job as a waitress to pursue my music career FULL-TIME! This may seem exciting to most of you, and don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly eager to begin writing this brand-new chapter in my storybook. But with this excitement comes fear. Fear of what's to come and even fear of failure. A small part of me fears that I could end up in a box somewhere under a bridge, writing songs about what "could've been". But this is Nashville, Music City, the little big town of opportunity, right?
My new chapter starts today... Tonight, I have my first paid gig as a working musician, singing covers at a saloon downtown. Playing in smoky bars and back alleys was never my intention when I first embarked on this journey. I imagined I would show up in Nashville with a song and a guitar, magically serenade some big-time record executive, and voila! **FAMOUS!** But I was very, very wrong. "Making it" in this town takes way more than that. It takes courage, it takes patience, and most of all, it takes passion. These are the things that led me to Nashville 2 years ago, but now it's time to really get to work.
Stay tuned to hear what I'm working on next week...
